Closing windows faster

When you click Shut Down, Windows begins to close all programs and processes, providing a timeout to everyone. When a program takes longer than expected shutdown becomes eternal and not for impatient. To reduce just have to change the registry key that specifies the timeout and reduce it.

For this we will start run and type regedit. In the tree on the left we seek registry editor the following entries:

1. – HKeyCurrentUser -> Control Panel -> Desktop

There WaitToKillAppTimeout locate the key and double clicking on it. Then I changed the value of 20,000 (default value in milliseconds = 20 sec. ) By 4000 (4 sec. Recommended value).

Then, without leaving the editor, we agree to the following:

2. – KEYLOCALMACHINE -> System -> Current Control -> Control,

There WaitToKillAppTimeout seek key and repeating the same operation before we change the value from 20,000 to 4,000.

Ok, now we will not have to wait so long for the processes are closed and our PC goes faster.
