Safe Mode in Windows 8 programs
What is safe mode?Safe Mode, also known failure mode testing is an option in Windows XP and Windows 7 that allows us to solve problems when the system does not start. With this option we can eliminate faulty Windows updates or uninstall programs that have created conflicts and do not allow startup.
Generally, to access this mode just press F8 when the system boots, but Windows 8 this is no longer available by default.
How to enable Safe Mode in Windows 8
First, we need to have administrator rights and start the command prompt. This can be done from the home screen and typing CMD (command. Com).
Then we wrote the following: bcdedit Safe Mode in Windows 8 set bootmenupolicy legacy default.
Press Enter and the system should return a message with the legend that the operation was successful.
The next step is to restart the computer and press F8 before they proceed to load the operating system, thus have access to Windows Safe Mode and other startup options interesting.
Automatic start in Safe Mode
We can also start by choice without having to press F8. To do this do the following:
– Press the Windows key Safe Mode in Windows 8 R, write msconfig and then Enter.
– We’re heading where it says Start or Boot, and apply the tick where it says Safe Mode. Click Apply and restart the system.
In this way, Windows 8 boot directly into secure mode, without having to press any extra key.
