Polaroid photo with Photoshop

¿Snapshots? . Before digital cameras, the only way to see the image instantly was with one of these cameras. Let’s modify photos to look like taken with a Polaroid.

The first thing to do is a new document. In this case we did one of 800 x 600 to make it easier to download the files. You can use measures like and the pictures they want.

Once the new document created in Photoshop, we paint him black. We open the selected photo and select the portion you want to rescue. In our example we will take the flower. To this effect polaroid, the selection has to be a perfect square. For this all you have to do is use the square selection tool, press SHIFT and maintain tight while dragging to make a selection. In this way, the frame is perfectly square is generated, regardless of the sudden movement of the mouse.

After selecting the portion of the picture, we release the mouse button and then let go of the SHIFT key (we do this so that we do not deform the selection). It is something like this:

Cut (Ctrl graphic design X) or copy (Ctrl graphic design C) the selection and paste it into our document Nuevo.

Now we have to use the Form tool. We use the rectangle shape considering that must be selected mode (Shape). So what are the top, where define the shape parameters.

Draw a rectangle on the flor2. Please note that to achieve the effect polaroid base has to be longer. Once this is done, move the shape layer below the flower, so we are left as a border.

Well, we have the first. Although still separate photo edge. Let’s dock. Select the two layers (flor1 and borde1) and press Ctrl graphic design E.

Now we have everything in one layer. We repeat the same steps with the picture flor2 and flor3.

Once we have 3 photos, we rotate a bit so it is not as rigid. We do a time. We’re going to Edit graphic design Transform graphic design Rotate (Edit graphic design Transform graphic design Rotate) or press Ctrl graphic design T and rotate.

Almost almost ready. We have to give a little more depth to anything. If the polaroid are superimposed we need to cast a shadow over one another, so using flor3, open the blending options (blending options) by right-clicking on the layer and give it the following values to Drop Shadow (Drop Shadow).

Angulo: 54. We leave Use Global Light so I checked at every shadow image go to the same side. We distance 8 and 10 in size and give OK.

So it should be.

Now we use the same shade in flor3, is the need to apply to the other two layers. To save time all we have to do is: Right click on the flor3 layer and select Copy Layer Style.

Right click on the layer and flor2 Paste Layer Style.

Without copying back the layer style, right click on the layer Flor1 and Paste Layer Style.

We now have 3 layers with shadows, but this to have the black background does not help, right?

Seek a photo to serve as background, a landscape or panoramic image that can be combined with which we are using. Open the photo, select all (Ctrl graphic design A) and paste the file that we’re working, put this layer below the 3 photos. For the fund to not bother, let’s apply some blur.

We go to Filter graphic design Blur graphic design Gaussian Blur (Filter graphic design Blur graphic design Gaussian blur) and put the following values.

Now opacity of the layer 75 (Opacity is in the layers panel, top right).
