Your Start menu takes too long to load? It can be an excess of installed programs, and a small amount of RAM. But before buying more memory or uninstall programs that could be useful, try this trick to load faster start menu.

Go to the Windows registry (Start – Run and type in regedit field) and find the following string:

HKeyCurrentUser – Control Panel – Desktop and then the file MenuShowDelay
Once there, double click on that option and modifies the values shown.
The default is (400), we must replace it with a lower value, for example 0.

Restarts and so you’ve got a higher speed when loading the Windows XP Start menu.
