Delete unnecessary programs and files with Windows

The aim will delete all temporary files that Windows generates and then not removed, and also those generated during the installation of new software.

Delete Temporary Files

So to delete temporary files follow this step by step guide:

Press the Start button on the desktop.

Select Search and then All files or folders.

Write. TMP in the Filename field.

Type C: in the Look in field.

Make sure Include subfolders is checked.

Click the Search button.

Select all temporary files in the results list by choosing Delete Temporary Files Select All.

Click File, then Delete to delete all files. If any of the files is essential for Windows, the system will not let you delete it.

Close the window by choosing Delete Temporary Files Close or the X top right.

Press twice to open the Recycle Bin.

Click Delete Temporary Files Empty Recycle Bin to delete system files.

Click the X in the upper right of the Recycle Bin to close corner.

Delete large files and unused

To get more space will search for all files larger than 100MB. Generally they are videos, files to install a program or image files to CD or DVD. It is sure to find in the file list that you no longer use and not know they were still in your PC.

Search proceeds this way:

Press the Start button on the desktop.

Select Search and then All files or folders.

Write. in the Filename field.

In the Look In field select My Computer or Local Hard Drives.
Click where it says how big it is and then specify a size, there stands 100000, ie at least 100 Mb.

Click the Search button.

Check one by one and determines the found files which no longer serve you.

To delete these files press the right mouse button on them and choose Delete.
